Obverse description	Central vignette of an intaglio-printed mountain gorilla seated amid bamboo and tropical foliage against a hilly landscape, occupying the right-centre of the note. The bank title BANKI NKURU Y'U RWANDA runs across the upper border in bold lettering, with the legal tender inscription Iyi noti yemewe n'amategeko above the central design. A large guilloche watermark oval occupies the left field, flanked by the denomination numeral 5000 in each lower corner, while a vertical holographic stripe with repeating BNR monograms and denomination numerals runs along the right margin.
