| Obverse description | Uniface green intaglio print on cream paper, the face dominated by an elaborate central guilloche vignette framing a serial number cartouche, flanked by two large symmetrical rosette underprints and corner numeral panels reading "5000". The bank title "BANQUE D'ÉTAT DU MAROC" and date "1-8-43" are letterpress-printed at the top, with the denomination "CINQ MILLE FRANCS" in bold type below the central vignette, and a fine-print legal warning legend running along the lower margin.
