| Obverse description | A great egret (Ardea alba) depicted in full flight occupies the central field, its wings spread wide and neck extended, rendered in fine sculptural relief. The denomination '5000 forint' appears in two lines to the upper left of the bird. The circular legend 'MAGYAR KÖZTÁRSASÁG' (Republic of Hungary) runs along the upper periphery. The designer's initials 'SzV', the year '2006', and the Budapest Mint mark 'BP.' are inscribed in the lower right field. |
