| Obverse description | At centre, a detailed incuse representation of a historical Transylvanian Thaler is depicted, rendered in high relief and set within a recessed circular field, evoking the coinage of the era. The thaler design features a crowned coat of arms with a rampant lion and surrounding legend. The outer border carries the legend MAGYAR KÖZTÁRSASÁG along the upper arc and 5000 FORINT along the lower arc, with the date 2005 and the Budapest mint mark BP. also present in the field. |
