| Obverse description | Central field displays two conjoined heraldic shields — the Hungarian state arms (bearing the apostolic double cross, green hills, and horizontal stripes) surmounted by the Holy Crown of Saint Stephen, and the monogram shield of the Budapest Philharmonic Society — flanked by crossed laurel and oak branches.
