At left centre, a circular vignette contains a portrait of Adamantios Korais, the eminent Greek scholar and humanist, set within an ornate guilloche border. To the right of the portrait, the denomination is stated in three lines in Greek script, with two signature lines below accompanied by a date inscription reading 28 October 1950.
