Reverse description The reverse features a large stylized numeral '40' as the central design element, with the zero formed by a circular medallion containing a left-facing portrait bust of Marshal Josip Broz Tito in military uniform. Three diagonal lines resembling rifle barrels or rays of light extend from the upper left through the numeral, and two five-pointed stars appear at the lower left of the central device. The dates 1945 and 1985 flank the lower portion of the central motif. A circular Latin legend surrounding the design commemorates the fortieth anniversary of the liberation of Yugoslavia and the victory over fascism.
