Obverse description Draped bust of Mohammad Ali Shah Qajar facing left, wearing a distinctive Qajar astrakhan kolah (Persian court hat) adorned with a jewelled aigrette and a spray of feathers, dressed in a heavily decorated military uniform with epaulettes and pearl-beaded collar. The effigy is set within an open wreath composed of oak leaves on the left and olive branches on the right, tied at the base. The Arabic legend arcs along the upper periphery, and the AH date ١٣٢٦ appears in the lower field below the wreath. A beaded border frames the entire design.
