Additional information

Part of the Chinese Lunar Gold series, which the People's Bank of China launched in 1981 with the Year of the Rooster — making this tenth-anniversary goat issue a relatively mature entry in what was already an established collector program by 1991. The 155.52g weight corresponds to five troy ounces, placing this firmly in the top tier of the annual lunar releases alongside the comparable five-ounce silver issues.

KM#367 is the five-ounce denomination; smaller fractional goat gold pieces were struck simultaneously in 1/20, 1/4, and one-ounce sizes, all sharing the same reverse design but produced in substantially higher numbers.
