| Reverse description | The reverse is similarly divided vertically by a raised line into two contrasting fields. The left field, with a matte finish, features a finely detailed naturalistic depiction of a linden (tilia) leaf with a small cluster of fruits and stem, rendered in high relief. The right field, with a mirror-polished finish, bears the inscription 'DENARNI ZAVOD SLOVENIJE' reading upward along the dividing line, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Monetary Institute of Slovenia, with the founding and anniversary years '1944' and '1994' inscribed one above the other in the field. |

| Additional information |
The Monetary Institute of Slovenia (Denarni zavod Slovenije) operated for just eight months in 1991–1992, bridging the gap between Yugoslav dinar circulation and the introduction of the tolar following Slovenia's declaration of independence. It was the institution that actually launched the tolar into circulation in October 1991 — predating the Bank of Slovenia itself, which formally assumed central banking functions only after international recognition arrived. This commemorative marks that founding episode specifically, not the currency's anniversary in any rounded sense.
