| Obverse description | The Soyombo, the national symbol of Mongolia, is depicted prominently in the center of the field, rendered in fine relief. To the right, the country name appears in vertical Mongolian traditional script alongside the Latin legend MONGOLIA. The denomination 500 is inscribed in large numerals at the bottom of the field, with the word Tögrög rendered in traditional Mongolian script beneath it. Additional Mongolian script characters flank the Soyombo on either side. The overall design is executed in proof finish against a mirror field. |

| Reverse description | Two male wrestlers are depicted in dynamic high relief at the center of the field, one athlete executing a throw over the other in a scene representative of freestyle wrestling.
