| Obverse description | The obverse features the national emblem of Mongolia — the Soyombo symbol surmounting a stylised lotus pediment — rendered in high relief at the centre within a cartouche, flanked on either side by vertical Traditional Mongolian script legends reading 'Монгол Улс' (Mongolia). The script legend 'Mongol Bank' appears in flowing Latin calligraphy across the face of the emblem. Below the emblem, the denomination '500 ТӨГРӨГ' is struck in bold Cyrillic characters. The lower field carries the inscription 'MONGOLIA 1 oz .999 SILVER' in small Latin capitals, and the entire design is enclosed by a toothed inner border. |
