Obverse description The Soyombo, Mongolia's national emblem, is depicted prominently to the left of center in the field, rendered in fine relief. To its right, the country name appears in traditional Mongolian script arranged vertically, with the Latin legend MONGOLIA inscribed along the right periphery. The denomination 500 is shown in large numerals in the lower field, below which the Tögrög currency symbol appears in Mongolian script. The overall design is set against a polished field with a reeded border.
