Reverse description	The reverse is dominated by a large central oval vignette enclosed within elaborate symmetrical guilloche and scrollwork borders printed in dark blue-grey. Within the oval, two allegorical figures flank a central palm frond motif, with a ribbon cartouche bearing Amharic inscription across the centre. Denomination numerals '500' appear in ornate cartouches at top and bottom, with Ethiopic numeral and script devices repeated at the four corners.
