Obverse description The central field displays the state emblem of the Republic of Kazakhstan — a shanyrak (the crown of a yurt) flanked by mythical winged horses (tulpars) with the sun rising below — set within a rectangular panel adorned with traditional Kazakh ornamental scrollwork. The denomination numeral '500' appears prominently in the lower central field, with the currency name 'ТЕҢГЕ' inscribed along the lower rim. The legend 'ҚАЗАҚСТАН РЕСПУБЛИКАСЫ' runs along the left border and 'РЕСПУБЛИКА КАЗАХСТАН' along the right border of the decorative panel, rendering the issuer's name in both Kazakh and Russian.

Reverse description A dynamic central composition depicts multiple horsemen competing in the traditional Central Asian equestrian game of Kokpar, in which riders contest possession of a goat carcass; the figures are rendered in high relief with vigorous movement. In the background, a nomadic encampment of yurts is depicted against a mountainous landscape, evoking the traditional steppe setting of the game. A dotted inner border frames the design. The legend 'КӨКПАР' is inscribed along the lower rim. Metallic specifications 'Ag 925 31,1 g' appear to the left of the central design, the mint mark 'KMC' at center-left, and the year '2014' to the right.
