| Reverse description | The octagonal reverse features a black enamelled field bordered by milled silver edges adorned with stylised Scythian animal motifs at each corner and along the sides. At centre, a full-length gold-plated effigy of the Issyk Chieftain — the iconic 'Golden Man' of ancient Kazakhstan — is depicted in frontal view, clad in elaborate scale armour with a tall ornate headdress surmounted by arrow-like plumes and holding a sword at his side. The legend 'ISSYK CHIEFTAIN' arcs along the left border in Latin script, while 'ЕСІК КӨСЕМІ' arcs along the right border in Cyrillic script, identifying the figure as the celebrated Saka warrior-chieftain discovered in the Issyk burial mound. |
