Obverse description An allegorical seated figure of Liberty, rendered in fine intaglio line engraving, occupies the central vignette, holding a staff and shield. The issuer name arches along the upper border, with the denomination expressed in numerals at all four corners and along the lateral margins of the vignette panel, and spelled out in full below it.
