Obverse description The state emblem of Uzbekistan — a Humo bird with spread wings encircled by wheat ears and cotton bolls — occupies the left portion of the note against a fine guilloche underprint in pale blue and orange. To the right, the large numeral '500' is printed in bold intaglio-style orange, above the currency name in Cyrillic and the issuing bank legend and date. A secondary denomination panel in a scalloped cartouche appears at the lower right.
Obverse lettering ЎЗБЕКИСТОН 500 СЎМ ЎЗБЕКИСТОН ДАВЛАТ БАНКИ 1992

Reverse description A central architectural vignette within an ornate ogival frame presents the Sherdor Madrasa of the Registan ensemble in Samarkand, rendered in fine line engraving with its characteristic iwan portal, flanking minarets, and tiled dome visible. Four corner ornamental medallions each contain the numeral '500' within stylised Islamic geometric motifs. The overall colour scheme is a warm terracotta red on a pale ground.
