Obverse description Central intaglio vignette of Austrian psychiatrist and Nobel laureate Julius Wagner-Jauregg (1857–1940), rendered in a detailed portrait bust with hat. The issuing authority name and denomination legend appear across the upper and lower registers, with the date of issue at centre and facsimile signatures of the President of the General Council and the Director General below the portrait.

Reverse description Central architectural vignette of the University of Vienna rendered in fine intaglio engraving. Maple leaf ornaments appear at the left margin, with a cornucopia motif at the lower right. The denomination numerals and university name are set within the surrounding typographic border, accompanied by the statutory anti-counterfeiting warning.
