| Obverse description | The central vignette to the right presents a stone sculpture of a caparisoned elephant at the Temple of the Tooth in Kandy, rendered in intaglio with fine detail. A large guilloche rosette occupies the left field, with two manuscript signatures and the date below the central inscriptions.
