The Virgin Mary is shown enthroned, draped in flowing robes with select gold-plated elements highlighting her vestments and halo, while the Christ Child sits upon her left arm, also crowned and bearing a scepter with gilded accents. Two adoring angels appear in the upper corners of the composition, flanking the sacred figures against a burnished field. Abbreviated Cyrillic Marian and Christological tituli appear in the upper corners of the image. The legend БЯЛЫНІЦКАЯ is inscribed along the lower border within a decorative cartouche, identifying the icon's regional tradition. |
