| Obverse description | A central ornamental vignette with a rosette-style guilloche pattern at left, beside which the denomination '500' appears in large numerals. The main text body, printed in Cyrillic, identifies this as a 5% short-term obligation of the Siberian State Treasury, payable to the bearer on 1 November 1918 at the State Bank of Siberia and its branches. Three manuscript signatures of treasury officials appear below the central text, with the serial number, place of issue (Omsk), and date printed in the lower register. |

The Siberian Provisional Government's treasury notes of 1918 emerged from one of the more complicated episodes of the Russian Civil War — Omsk was the administrative center, and this series was issued under the authority of the short-lived government that preceded Kolchak's takeover in November 1918. The Siberian Regional Administration, backed loosely by the SR political faction, was swept aside within months of issuing these notes, which means the circulation window was narrow.
Notes from this period frequently surface with significant handling — the economic chaos of the region meant paper money passed through many hands quickly, and hoarding of sound currency left these circulating hard.
