| Obverse description | Plain cream paper ground with an ornate border of rosette guilloche medallions at the corners and along each margin, linked by scrollwork and foliate ornaments. The title ГОСУДАРСТВЕННЫЙ КРЕДИТНЫЙ БИЛЕТЪ is set at the top in letterpress, above the large denomination text ПЯТЬСОТЪ РУБЛЕЙ in bold display type; two oval guilloche vignettes, each enclosing the numeral 500, flank the central text block. A clause of convertibility and a two-line signature line for the Управляющий and Кассиръ appear below, with the date 1918 centred at foot. |

Large ornate numerals 500 are placed symmetrically at left and right, with the word РУБЛЕЙ printed above and below each, forming a four-corner denomination framework. A central vignette carries a double-headed eagle without crown or regalia, rendered in line-engraved style, flanked by the anti-counterfeiting legend; oval cartouches enclosing 500 appear at top and bottom centre. The whole is enclosed within a decorative border of scrollwork, rosette ornaments, and corner floral medallions. |
