| Obverse description | Against a deeply mirrored proof field, the national emblem of the Yemen Arab Republic occupies the central zone, depicting an eagle with wings displayed, bearing a shield on its breast and flanked by crossed national flags with crossed swords below. A large Arabic legend curves prominently around the upper field, reading the name of the central bank. The dual date 1962-1982, rendered in both Western and Eastern Arabic numerals, is positioned along the lower arc, commemorating the 20th anniversary of the 26 September Revolution. The design is executed in high relief with sharp, finely detailed elements characteristic of proof coinage. |
