Obverse description The centre of the aluminium bronze inner disc bears the denomination '۵۰۰' (500) in large Eastern Arabic numerals within the field. An inner border ring is composed of eleven diamonds alternating with ten ornamental lozenges, interrupted at the bottom by a Persian inscription. The copper-nickel outer ring carries a legend at the top and the Solar Hijri date at the bottom, flanked on each side by a repeating motif of four stylised flowers alternating with groups of three dots.
