Obverse description Intaglio portrait of Queen Zenobia in left-facing profile at right, her name inscribed in Arabic below; a large green crescent occupies the left field, with a central vignette of the monumental arch and colonnaded ruins of Palmyra rendered in ochre tones. A circular medallion at lower center contains a bust of Zenobia, while two signature panels flank the central design, with the Syrian eagle seal at lower left and the dual-date 1419–1998 at bottom center.
