| Obverse description | The Mexican national arms occupies the central field, depicting the heraldic eagle perched in left profile atop a prickly pear cactus growing from a rocky outcrop, holding a serpent in its beak and talon. The eagle is rendered in high relief with finely detailed feathering on the wings and body. Flanking the cactus base are laurel and oak branches tied at the bottom with a ribbon. The circular legend ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS curves along the upper periphery in raised Latin characters, all within a beaded border. |
