Reverse description A dynamic silhouette of a football player in mid-kick positioned before a stylised rendering of the Aztec Sun Stone (Calendar Stone), evoking the pre-Columbian heritage of the host nation. The denomination '$ 500', the issue year, the mint mark 'Mo', the event logo 'México86', and the legend 'COPA MUNDIAL DE FUTBOL' appear in the field. On KM#501.1, the gold fineness designation 'ORO 900' is inscribed at the bottom of the reverse; this fineness statement is absent on KM#501.2.
