The issuer title "Banco Central de la República Argentina" arches across the upper portion in Gothic script, with the Argentine national coat of arms centred at the top, while the denomination appears both in words and numerals at lower centre, flanked by scrollwork cartouches. Reverse description Blue intaglio print over fine guilloche work; the central vignette presents a detailed architectural rendering of the Casa Grand Bourg, General San Martín's residence during his final years of exile in France, framed by trees including a tall palm and set against a clouded sky. The numeral "500" appears within a guilloche cartouche at left, with ornate scrollwork borders flanking the composition. The legend "QUINIENTOS PESOS" is displayed in large serif capitals along the lower margin.
