Obverse description Conjoined busts of King Juan Carlos I and Queen Sofía facing left, rendered in low relief with fine detail. The king's effigy is positioned slightly in front of the queen's, both portrayed in plain civilian attire without adornment. The circumferential legend reads 'JUAN CARLOS I Y SOFIA' along the upper arc, while the date, flanked by two small dots, appears in the lower field. The composition fills the coin's field with a clean, modernist aesthetic characteristic of late 20th-century Spanish coinage.
