| Obverse description | Purely typographic design featuring the denomination '500 MARK' prominently in large raised numerals at the centre of the field. The circular legend reads 'C·CONRADTY·ROTHENBACH' along the upper periphery and '*NOTGELD 1922*' along the lower periphery, separated by star ornaments. An individual serial number prefixed 'NR' appears in the upper central field, hand-stamped or impressed, uniquely identifying this example within the limited issue. |

| Reverse description | Full-length standing figure of a bearded man depicted in low relief, facing forward, wearing a wide-brimmed hat and a worker's jacket. His right fist is raised and pressed firmly to his chest in a defiant gesture, while his left arm is extended outward with the hand open. The encircling legend, adapted from Goethe's poem 'Feige Gedanken', reads 'ALLEN GEWALTEN ZVM TRVTZ SICH ERHALTEN' along the periphery, with the designer's initials 'S• F•' appearing in the lower field on either side of the figure's feet. |

C. Conradty was a pencil and carbon products manufacturer in Röthenbach an der Pegnitz, and this token is a product of the 1922 notgeld emergency — when hyperinflation was accelerating fast enough that municipal and private issuers were producing their own substitute coinage simply to keep wages payable. Conradty pressed their own industrial material into service as a medium of exchange. The compressed coal dust composition is not a gimmick; it reflects both the firm's core business and the desperate improvisation of the period.
