| Obverse description | Brown letterpress Gutschein (voucher) on salmon-toned paper, with ornate scrollwork border and oak-leaf corners. The original '20 Mark' denomination text in Gothic blackletter is overprinted diagonally with a bold black typeset overstamp reading 'Fünfhundert Mark' and '500 M.' at upper right. Date 'Gera, d. 25. Sept. 1922' appears at lower centre alongside the Gera municipal arms and facsimile signature of the Oberbürgermeister. |
