| Obverse description | Within the aluminium bronze centre, three large ostrich plumes rise prominently from a scrolled ribbon banner bearing the motto LIBERTAS in relief lettering, a traditional heraldic emblem of the Republic of San Marino. The stainless steel ring carries the circular legend REPUBBLICA DI SAN MARINO in raised Latin characters. The engravers' signatures appear in the lower portion of the ring. The overall design evokes San Marino's centuries-old republican tradition and devotion to liberty. |
