Obverse description A right-facing intaglio portrait vignette of President Mustafa Kemal Atatürk occupies the right portion of the note, set against a finely engraved guilloche underprint in brown tones. The denomination '500' appears in large numerals at upper left and lower right, with the bank title and value inscription centered across the upper field. Three signature lines for the Umum Müdür, Umum Müdür Muavini, and Emisyon Dairesi Reisi are printed below the central text panel.

Reverse description The reverse bears a panoramic intaglio vignette of the Hippodrome of Constantinople in Istanbul, with the ancient Egyptian Obelisk of Theodosius rising in the left foreground and the Sultan Ahmed Mosque (Blue Mosque) dominating the background, all rendered in brown tones within a guilloche-bordered frame. The denomination '500' is repeated in each corner, and the bank title is inscribed in a panel along the lower margin.
