Reverse description Vertical format reverse printed in violet, red, and olive tones with an intricate Art Nouveau-style border of interlaced foliate and knotwork motifs. A central medallion in the upper half contains the Bulgarian state coat of arms — two rampant lions flanking a crowned shield — set within concentric guilloche rings. Below, a rectangular cartouche in the lower centre carries the forgery warning text, and at the foot of the note the numeral '500' is set within a floral rosette vignette with the denomination in Cyrillic overprinted in red.
