Reverse description The central vignette reproduces a vignette after the painting 'Ploughman' by Yaroslav Veshin, rendered in intaglio, showing a Bulgarian peasant standing beside a yoked ox team with a seated figure in the foreground against a landscape background. Large numeral '500' appears in bold letterpress at both left and right margins, and the denomination in Cyrillic runs along the lower border within a decorative frame incorporating traditional Bulgarian folk-art motifs. The bank name in French is inscribed across the top panel.
