| Obverse description | Within a raised inner circle, a large Ottoman-script calligraphic inscription in the field reads 'Ankara 23 April 1336' (referencing the founding date of the Grand National Assembly). A crescent opens upward above the inscription, with a five-pointed star positioned at its apex. The entire design is enclosed by a recessed border ring and an outer milled edge of fine denticles. |
