Obverse description A formal intaglio portrait of King Karl XI (1655–1697), derived from David Klöcker Ehrenstrahl's 1682 painting commemorating the Battle of Lund (1676), occupies the central vignette; below, a finely engraved view of the Riksbank's original Järntorget building in Stockholm serves as a subsidiary vignette. The denomination and issuer inscription are contained within guilloche-patterned underprint borders that frame the overall composition.
