| Additional information |
Issued under Laos's long-running wildlife bullion program, this piece belongs to a series that has drawn more interest from international collectors than from domestic circulation — the face value is purely nominal against the metal content, and these were never intended to pass hands at a market stall in Vientiane. The tiger depicted is functionally extinct in Laos; the last confirmed wild Indochinese tiger sightings in the country date to the early 2000s.
