| Obverse description | The obverse depicts a highly detailed rendering of the facade of the New York Stock Exchange building on Broad Street, shown in selective gold gilding. The architectural relief prominently features the classical pediment with its sculptural frieze, Corinthian columns, and allegorical figures in the manner of the original 1903 neoclassical structure. At the center of the pediment frieze, a central draped figure is flanked by groups of smaller figures on either side, with the inscribed tablet below reading 'THE EARTH IS THE LORDS AND THE FULLNESS THEREOF.' The denomination '500 FRANCS CFA' and the legend 'REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN 2021' are inscribed along the lower portion of the field, accompanied by the fineness mark 'Ag 999' and the mint mark 'MW'. |
