| Reverse description | The entire reverse field is occupied by a full-color reproduction of Paul Gauguin's Post-Impressionist masterpiece 'Nafea Faa Ipoipo' (When Will You Marry?), painted in 1892. The composition depicts two Tahitian women rendered in Gauguin's characteristic bold palette of rich reds, warm yellows, and vivid blues, the foreground figure seated and wearing a red pareo, with a white flower in her hair, while the second figure stands behind her against a luminous tropical background. The color application is achieved through a pad-printing technique applied over the struck silver surface. The artist's name PAUL GAUGUIN is inscribed in white lettering within a black cartouche along the lower rim of the colored field. |
