| Obverse description | Central field displays the coat of arms of Cameroon — a shield bearing a map of the country surmounted by a star, flanked by crossed fasces and supported by an ornamental base — with the national motto rendered bilingually in the field. The legends REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN and 500 FRANCS CFA arc across the upper portion of the inner disc, while PAIX / PEACE, TRAVAIL / WORK, and PATRIE / FATHERLAND appear in the central field. The date 2021 and the fineness mark Ag 999 with the Mint of Poland privy mark (MW) are inscribed in the lower field. The entire central design is encircled by a raised beaded border, beyond which a broad outer ring bears all twelve zodiac symbols in relief, separated by fine grooved lines. |
