Obverse description The coat of arms of Cameroon is depicted in the central field, showing a shield bearing a balance scale surmounted by a star, flanked by crossed fasces and two battle-axes, with a ribbon below bearing the bilingual legends REPUBLIC OF CAMEROON and REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN. The national motto PAIX TRAVAIL PATRIE / PEACE WORK FATHERLAND appears within the arms. The legend REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN arcs along the upper periphery, while the denomination 500 FRANCS CFA is inscribed along the lower portion. The date 2023 is divided on either side of the central arms. The entire design is struck on an egg-shaped flan with a frosted field finish.

Reverse description The entire egg-shaped reverse field is covered with a vivid full-color application depicting a traditional Ukrainian pysanka Easter egg decorative pattern. The design features repeating geometric and folk-art motifs rendered in red, black, and cream tones, including diamond lattice bands, stylized floral rosettes, tree-of-life motifs, and chevron borders, all characteristic of authentic Ukrainian wax-resist egg-decorating folk art. The pattern is divided into horizontal registers of varying ornamental complexity, with a central band of large diamond medallions flanked by symmetrical foliate and avian-derived motifs. The coloring technique employs vibrant applied pigments over the silver substrate, giving the piece the appearance of a genuine hand-decorated pysanka. No legends or inscriptions appear on this face.
