| Obverse description | Five conjoined portrait medallions arranged in a row, each depicting the left-facing effigy of one of Belgium's five kings: Leopold I, Leopold II, Albert I, Leopold III, and Baudouin I. The regnal years of each monarch appear within or adjacent to the respective medallions. The sesquicentennial jubilee years 1830 and 1980 flank the central legend in Dutch, with a small crown positioned above the lower date. The overall composition commemorates 150 years of Belgian monarchy and independence. |
