| Obverse description | Left-facing profile effigy of Queen Tiye (Tiyi), the Great Royal Wife of Pharaoh Amenhotep III, rendered in the Egyptian artistic tradition with a distinctive striated wig and serpent uraeus crown. The portrait occupies the majority of the coin's field, conveying a flat, bas-relief aesthetic reminiscent of ancient Egyptian sculpture. An ankh symbol appears to the lower right of the effigy. The circumferential legend REPUBLIQUE DE GUINEE arcs around the upper portion of the coin within a beaded border, while the name TIYI is inscribed at the base. |
