Obverse description The obverse features two traditional Guinean performers executing the "Danse des Oiseaux" (Dance of the Birds), an elaborate ceremonial bird dance. The central figure is depicted in full costume, adorned with an expansive feathered headdress and winged regalia, holding a staff, caught mid-movement in a dynamic dancing pose. A second dancer appears in the right field in a similarly costumed bird guise. A traditional thatched dwelling is visible in the left background, evoking a village setting. The legend "REPUBLIQUE DE GUINEE" arcs along the upper periphery, while "DANSE DES OISEAUX" is inscribed along the lower field, all within a beaded border.
