The "Crying Girl" series, issued under Cameroon's authority but produced entirely for the Western collector market, has no meaningful connection to Cameroonian monetary history or circulation. These pieces are struck by the Berne-based PAMP refinery and distributed through European bullion dealers — Cameroon's name appears on the legal tender authorization, but the coins never enter the country.
