| Obverse description | The obverse displays the denomination and issuer legend centrally arranged within the plain rectangular field, in the style of a military dog tag. The inscription reads '500 / FRANCS / CFA' in the upper portion, followed by 'REPUBLIQUE / DU CAMEROUN' at centre, with the date '2018' near the lower margin. The mintmark 'mw' and fineness mark 'Ag 999' appear along the right edge. Two suspension rings are fitted through holes at the top of the piece, through which a ball chain is threaded. |

Cameroon's modern commemorative program has leaned heavily on the medallion-format coin since the 2010s, largely issued through the Monnaie de Paris under licensing arrangements that give the Cameroonian government nominal issuing authority while the French mint handles design, production, and distribution entirely. KM#129 sits in a long run of such issues aimed squarely at the European collector market rather than domestic circulation.
