| Obverse description | The obverse features the national coat of arms of Cameroon centrally positioned in the field, depicting a shield bearing scales of justice surmounted by a star, flanked by two crossed fasces and supported by decorative elements, with the bilingual legend REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN arcing along the upper periphery and REPUBLIC OF CAMEROON inscribed on a scroll at the base of the arms. The motto is rendered in both French and English in four segments around the shield: PAIX / PEACE to the left and PATRIE / FATHERLAND to the right, with TRAVAIL / WORK at the top. The denomination 500 FRANCS CFA appears in bold relief along the lower rim, while the date 2024 is struck centrally above the coat of arms.
