The "My Beloved" series from BEAC occupies a peculiar corner of modern numismatics — these are legal tender issues of the Central African franc zone, yet they are produced explicitly for the collector export market and will never circulate in Cameroon, Chad, or any of the six member states. The rectangular format is a deliberate commercial choice to differentiate the piece on the secondary market, not a response to any monetary policy.
